The F/A-18D Hornet Navy fighter jet suffered a mechanical malfunction shortly after takeoff on April 6, causing the two pilots to eject at the last minute to avoid a nearby school and crash into the Virginia Beach complex, resulting in a mix of debris, jet fuel, and flames.

A seventeen-year-old boy from China, identified only by his surname Wang, earned $3,500 for donating his kidney last April, money which he used to buy an iPhone and an iPad.

Twenty-eight-year-old Michelle L. Preston, a former psychology and geography teacher and cheerleading coach at Shawnee Mission West High School in Kansas, pleaaded guilty on Thursday to three felony counts involving students age 16 or older.

Twenty-seven members of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at Dartmouth College were cleared from charges that were based on former frat member Andrew Lohse’s claims that new pledges were forced to swim in a kiddie pool of rotten food, eat omelets made of vomit, and chug cups of vinegar.
