In Fresno, California, a pair of 20-year old car thieves, Nathan Teklemariam and Carson Rinehart, discussed breaking into cars and smoking pot over an open “butt-dialed” phone line — that had been answered by an alert emergency phone operator who pieced together where the two men were and sent a squad car after them.
