(WIDK By Remus Lee) - A Kansas City couple’s broad sense of discipline may more accurately be called “misguided vengeance.”

30-year-old Timothy Phillips and his 27-year-old live-in girlfriend Lacey Chaney have been charged with child endangerment and child restraint after Phillips’ 9-year-old daughter outed them for locking her in the basement.

Phillips told authorities the daughter was kept in the basement as punishment for a school suspension and as a result of her apparent bladder control problems, according to the Kansas City Star.

Chaney prevented her from using the bathroom inside the home because she caught a rash from the toilet after the daughter used it, forcing the daughter to go into the backyard to do her business.

Prosecutors are seeking $100,000 bond to be set for the two captors; the mother of Phillips’ daughter, who divorced him last year, declined to comment.

(WIDK By Remus Lee) - The teen’s mother claims that it’s no freak accident.

The South Paulding High School in Douglasville, Georgia is in damage control mode after its 2013 yearbook labeled one of its students incorrectly.

According to KDSK, the mother of freshman Dylan Worthen brought the matter to the school’s attention after her son noticed that under one of the marching band pictures, he was labeled “Dylan Worthen-Freak”.

Dylan’s mother wants the school to confiscate and destroy the 900 yearbooks printed with the misprint, saying that it was a form of bullying, and that a serious and genuine proofreader would have caught the error.

The South Paulding High School plans to use stickers to cover up the offending label.

(WIDK By Jane Rouen) – A bully was bullied by one of his victims with his teacher’s permission and it cost the teacher $10,000.

Tamu Francis, a third-grade teacher in Brooklyn,New York, made an 8-year old bully stand in the front of her class and told one of his victims to “Hit him hard.”

The victim responded eagerly, pummeling the bully until he cried and they both fell on the floor.

According to The New York Post, the teacher told the bully “When you act like a dog, you get treated like a dog.”

The Department of Education tried to fire the teacher, but because of her 13-year spotless record she was given a $10,000 fine and a demotion.

(WIDK By Jane Rouen) - A 14-year old serial bully had school friends videotape her violent attack on another schoolgirl.

A judge in Duval County, Florida ordered a county-wide school ban on a 14-year old girl who slammed another girl’s head into a wall, giving her victim a basal skull fracture and a concussion.

The attacker had other girls film the attack on their cell phones.

According to The Christian Post, the victim’s mother called her daughter’s attacker a serial bully and asked Florida Circuit Court Judge Henry Davis to keep her out of school to insure that her daughter would not be attacked again.

The attacker has been charged with felony battery.

(WIDK By Remus Lee) - Social media reveals chaos and pandemonium during a melee in a high school library.

Chester, Pennsylvania, police have arrested five students as part of an investigation into the Tuesday library fight at Chester High School which was recorded and posted online.

According to the Delaware County Daily Times, the library fight was among several incidents at the school which students dubbed “National Fight Day”.

Among the five teens arrested in the fight was 18-year-old Edward Stanley, who was the one who posted the cell phone video on the internet.

The Chester Upland School District is continuing to work with Chester police in their investigation on the fight.

(WIDK By Brittany Hahn) - She might need to buy more makeup to cover the bruises after this fight.

A wild fight between a female math teacher and a freshman student broke out in a California high school Monday at the end of class. The student ended up getting arrested after her teacher confiscated her makeup.

When Marlina Martinez, 15, had her makeup taken away, she loudly demanded it back then called her mom so she could have a word with the teacher. Instead of talking to her mom, the teacher confiscated her phone too.

Since the teacher doesn’t face any charges at this point, she remains unidentified.

Martinez got up and confronted the teacher on a more physical level, reports ABC News10.

As of now, Martinez faces an assault charge.

‘Burmese Bin Laden,’ a Buddhist monk, is using social media to spread his message of hatred towards Muslims; he set fire to a Muslim man during a riot.

After being imprisoned once in 2003 for anti-Muslim hatred, Wirathu now takes pride in his hatred.

He blames Muslims for raping women of the Burmese society.

Wirathu and other activists are on the prowl. Last month, more than 43 people were killed and several mosques burnt in sectarian attacks in central Burma, reports OnIslam.

(WIDK by Aaron Lanton) - Two middle school students became the victims of senseless violence. 

In Queens, New York, two eighth grade students, Samantha Gonzalez and Christina Campos, were attacked by a mob of high school students while bystanders recorded the fight with their cell phones.

According to CBS New York, the same group assaulted Campos, and warned they would return for more.

The second assault included Gonzalez and an even larger mob of high school students.

The victims’ families have announced a plan to begin an anti-bullying campaign in Astoria.

(WIDK By Brittany Hahn) – Scandals on a subway.

An angry mob formed on a Brooklyn-bound subway after police tried arresting a teen who was taunting a Jewish man with racial slurs. 

The taunting 17-year-old, Stephan Stowe, and a group of eight others approached a Jewish man on the subway wearing a yarmulke saying “Assalamu Alaikum,” meaning “Peace be with you,” reports Opposing Views.

The Jewish man ignored the teen; that’s when tension grew and led to Stephan telling the man, “I’m going to kill you right now… they should’ve killed you in the Holocaust.”

The victim took a picture of Stephan with his phone, but Stephan took the phone and deleted it.

A mob broke out unexpectedly, leading to Stephan’s arrest along with a 22-year-old woman, Sheniqua Joseph, who got involved.

Hyun Jin Lee of Egg Harbor City, New Jersey is launching a federal discrimination lawsuit against CVS after an employee changed her name to “Ching Chong Lee” on her receipt.

Hyun Jin Lee is seeking one million dollars in damages after being subjected to a racial slur by a CVS employee.

Lee was picking up photos from a CVS in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey when she noticed that her receipt read “Ching Chong Lee” instead of her actual name.

She contacted CVS’s corporate customer relations, but was unable to resolve the issue.

The International Business Times reports that CVS later responded to Lee by saying that the employee would be counseled and trained but not fired.

A court date has not yet been set for the lawsuit.

(WIDK By Remus Lee) - A brazen Florida carjacker was caught by Osceola County deputies last week.

35-year-old Efrain Burgos-Delgado of Kissimmee, Florida is under arrest after he made off with a local teen’s car at gunpoint.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Burgos-Delgado approached a teenager while brandishing a firearm before nicking the teen’s remote control car and cell phone.

Police were able to recover the cell phone, but Burgos-Delgado claimed that he sold the toy car for drug money.

Burgos-Delgado has been charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, petty theft, and dealing in stolen property, among other charges.

(WIDK By Rebecca Arden) – It sounds like this woman needs an anger management coach. 

Joselyn Wohl is the 33-year-old daughter of prominent Brooklyn real estate mogul Larry Wohl, but she is now being sued after allegedly stabbing her life coach with a fork, just months after being charged for harming her drug and alcohol coach. 

According to Raw Story, Joselyn was dining in her father’s $4 million estate in the Southamptons with her life coach, 31-year-old Sajjadur Rahman, when she suddenly attacked him with a fork.

Rahman managed to shield his face (the original target) and was instead stabbed in the hand, which supposedly still has part of the fork in it today.

Rahman has since quit working for the Wohl’s stating he is scared for his life after Larry offered to pay for all of his medical expenses in exchange for his silence.

In December, Joselyn faced legal problems after her sobriety coach, Heather McKean accused her of beating and choking her and pushing her down a flight of concrete stairs.

Joselyn was charged with assault and battery and McKean now requires spinal fusion surgery after her attack.

(WIDK by Aaron Lanton) - An agitated bus driver overreacted during a routine drive.

In Lincoln, Nebraska, 43-year-old bus driver Troy Fischer has been fired from StarTran Bus Service after a video was released that shows Fischer punching a man 18 times, and dragging him off the bus for asking questions about commuting in Lincoln.

According to Newsday, Fischer repeatedly warned the man to stop asking him questions.

Eventually, Fischer became so agitated that he attacked the commuter, and kicked him off the bus.

Investigators have been unable to reach the victim of the attack, but charges against Fishcer are expected to be announced shortly.
