(WIDK By Jane Rouen) – A special needs child died a sad and horrible death.
Aaron Rowe, 23, of Visalia, California, was arrested and charged with murdering his six week old special needs daughter, Peyton, after allegedly torturing her over a period of weeks, and his wife Courtney faces a charge of failure to protect a child from abuse, with a special allegation of willful harm to a child.
Police were called to the Rowe’s home informed that the six week old baby was not breathing; the child was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center where she died of blunt force trauma.
According to The Daily Mail, doctors had noticed that the baby had numerous bruises of her arms, legs and face, and performed a CT scan which showed 15 fractured ribs and other fractures, in addition to older fractures of her bones.
If convicted of first degree murder with a special circumstance of torture, Rowe could face the death penalty or a life sentence without parole.
