(WIDK by Meggan Gittens) - A Fresno, California, social studies teacher has been banned from her classroom and arrested on allegations that she has been carrying on an affair with one of her students.
29-year-old Megan Denman who was also a cheerleading coach at the Hoover High School, is accused of having a sexual relationship with one of the students at the high school.
According to Daily Mail, Denman was only involved with one student and all sexual activity took place off the high school campus. Fresno Superintendent Michael Hanson put out a statement expressing his “deep disappointment” in the allegations.
Denman faces charges of sex with a minor and oral sex with a person under the age of 18.
She was released on $55,000 bail.
