(WIDK By AnnaMarie Houlis) – Recent acts of misconduct suggest that there might be a double standard for officers of the law.
Former Sgt. Mike Eiskant, whose badge number just so happened to be 69, was caught on video masturbating in his squad car while on duty, and pleaded no contest to two counts of attempt to commit a felony for false imprisonment, one count of stalking women, two counts of harassment and larceny and possession of marijuana.
Shannon Brady, who used to work alongside Eiskant said he had a “creeper” reputation and tried to bring a harassment complaint against him years ago to the Santa Fe police department’s human resource division but they did nothing.
According to the Huffington Post, Brady claims that Raymond Rael, who was in charge of the human resource devision but has since then been promoted to chief of police, accused her of only filing the complaint because Eiskant had a reputation, rather than accusing Eiskant for the complaints regarding him, knowing that he had a reputation.
Still, Eiskant is not facing any jail time and even his probation time will not exceed one year.
