(WIDK By Bob Bachelder) - A CNN reporter has drawn criticism after she used a profanity during a live broadcast.
Susan Candiotti issued an apology to CNN’s viewers for saying n***** on live TV while quoting the Facebook page of a man who was arrested for shooting innocent people.
According to NY Daily News, this is the second time in two months where CNN anchors have used the word on live TV while quoting other people.
The network has issued apologies after an outcry from viewers who claim that the anchors should know better when to censor themselves.
A twitter user said, ”Although she apologized before using the actual words, I can not believe Susan Candiotti said F’ing N on TV. GET OUT! Can she do that?”
CNN is receiving widespread criticism for their anchor’s actions and remains under fire by public opinion.

First of all, young African American men use the “N” term with gratuitous affection.
Explain to me why if a white person uses it, it’s derogatory? (Maybe African Americans should set better examples?)
Secondly, she wasn’t ‘using’ the term, as she explained and apoligized beforehand, she was quoting the assailant verbatim.
Thirdly, there is a six second delay that the produce on all live shows can push at there own discretion. If it was anyone’s fault, it was the producers.
I admiring CNN for delivering the objective new, something Fox News could learn a thing or two about.
What I see is the media trying to incite violence. They are fanning the flames of racism. Trayvon, this….. You watch, before the next election it is going to get much much worse. A house divided against itself cannot stand. The forces of evil are working hard to pit us against each other. Don’t buy into it folks. Love each other. We are all the HUMAN race and that is the only race that matters.
Oh boy. The title is so misleading. I thought it was going to be about a reporter expressing her actual views when she thought the camera wasn’t rolling. I was a little surprised that CNN used “fucking nigger” without any censorship, but if it is material that is relevant to the story then I don’t see what the problem is.
I was more surprised she used the “F” bomb.
she was reporting a story and I think in this case, it was appropriate for her to repeat the quote – with apologies, which she gave.
You are right Brenda. I feel that the reporter including that specific quote adds to the story, giving a more complete picture of the person who committed these killings and why.
Can you imagine if a Fox News anchor did this? It would be 1000 times worse.

exactly. It was new reporting, and the quote is relevant to the story to complete the picture of the man who is accused of the killings.
