(WIDK By Bob Bachelder) - Two white men were arrested on Sunday for their roles in a shooting incident in Tulsa on Good Friday which targeted black people.
Jake England, 19, and his roommate and alleged accomplice, Alivin Watts, 32, were arrested for shooting five black people in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The attack left three people dead and two people wounded.
According to CBS News, the killings took place on the two-year anniversary of England’s father death. Carl England was shot and killed in the same area by a black man two years prior.
England has had a tough couple of years. His father was gunned down by a 40-year-old man and the mother of his infant son committed suicide in January.
“between that and sheran I’m gone in the head. RIP. Dad and sheran I. Love and miss u. I think about both of u every second of the day,” England wrote on his Facebook page.
After the shootings England wrote, “People talking s*** on me for some s*** I didn’t do… I do believer (sic) it just mite be the time to call it quits… if something does happen tonite be ready for another funeral later.”
Investigators recovered a weapon from the home and also found a white SUV, that was burned, which matches the description provided by witnesses.
