Denise Wilder, 37, arrested Wednesday for alledgedly killing her 2-year-old daughter McKinley Wilder could be facing child neglect and murder charges, if the autopsy report, that has yet to be done, shows foul play.
According to The Sacramento Bee, family members reported Denise Wilder missing last Wednesday. She was found at her parents’ home intoxicated by a relative along with an unresponsive McKinley and police were called.
The child was pronounced dead at the scene, but the Roseville Police Department has not announced an apparent cause for the death as of yet.
McKinley’s father, Mark Wilder, an Army master sergeant, who divorced Denise Wilder in 2011 and has been in a custody battle with his ex- wife since, has declined interview requests.
As reported by News 10, The two parents were due in court for a child custody trial next week.
Wilder is currently in Placer County jail and has been denied bail.
