(WIDK By Nick Pollack) - One teacher has decided to stand up for herself and her privacy.
Kimberly Hester, a teacher’s aide at Frank Squires Elementary School in Cassopolis, Michigan, was recently suspended after she refused to allow the school district to view her Facebook profile.
According to Business Insider, school officials wanted to view her profile after she posted a photo in April 2011 that could have been in poor taste.
The photo was an image of a co-worker’s ankles, showing her pants pulled down near her shoes.
Ms. Hester believes she ‘has the right to privacy.’
However, Congress shot down an amendment that would prevent companies from punishing their employees who refused to make their private information public.
