(WIDK By Olivia Roat) - Some ardent believers in global warming may have a difficult time explaining this recent natural phenomenon: a second ice age has spontaneously sprung up in South Dakota.
The temperature in South Dakota plummeted to a balmy -175 degrees Fahrenheit over the course of last night, leaving twenty four feet of snow on the Black Hills, glaciers covering every one of the state’s bodies of water, and five-foot-long icicles dangling from the eyebrows of Lincoln and Washington on the state’s famous Mount Rushmore.
Strangely, the second ice age is confined solely to South Dakota, as the weather right over the border in North Dakota is a comfortable 75 degrees and sunny.
Could this drastic climate change mean the return of the woolly mammoth?
Climate experts and ecologists are scratching their heads in the wake of this second ice age, so I guess we’ll have to wait and see, but in the meantime, I’m sure Fox News analysts will be reviving that theory that said Al Gore invented global warming.

WOW… do I really feel stupid?!!?! …. here I am for like 15 minutes now researching this, confused that none of the weather sites have it. And narrowing my search… and starting to believe its a “secret”… OMG…. then I come back here disgusted because I feel like “really?.. where did they get the info…” and I FINALLY READ THE COMMENTS!!

Some of your reporting stretches the bounds of credulity as it stands…trying to play an April Fool’s prank of this type really does just work to further impugn your reputation and credibility. I might suggest next time a simple note of your having won an award for journalism–a more obvious prank that truly will have your readers laughing.
In a wholly-related aside, if you ever want to raise the quality of the reports here, (which I notice have gone from error-laden long stories to abbreviated quips), you might consider hiring yours truly.
