Harry was born last Thursday, at the wildlife sanctuary in South Africa, weighing in at 11 lbs. The young hippo who was rejected by his mother requires around-the-clock care and 125ml of milk every three hours.
According to Daily Mail, thhe Cango Wildlife Ranch specialises in bredding endangered species, including cheetahs, tigers and crocodiles.
Being the 8th calf born to Hilda and Herbert, Harry is sadly only the third to survive. Reserve manager Rob Hall says that the calf is ” an active little thing and is keeping Toni, his caretaker, busy day and night.
