(WIDK By Mike McCurdy) – An 8-year-old crime sleuth catches a burglar.
Landon Crabtree,8, from Manchester, Tenn. outwitted a thief who committed a string of burglaries in the Manchester neighborhood by using a tracking device app he had downloaded onto his stolen iPad.
Landon alerted his father that the app pinpointed his stolen iPad to a local motel, prompting police to investigate, thereby discovering a treasure trove of stolen items and a very surprised John Docherty.
According to Huffington Post, Docherty had been using his hotel room as a base to house all of the items he had taken.
Docherty was promptly arrested. His charges, however, have widened due to his recognition by a Franklin County detective in another string of robberies there.
