(WIDK by Patrick Heywood) - Children in Africa are being turned into the walking dead by a mysterious disease.

In East Africa, a mysterious disease, referring to as the ‘nodding disease’ by locals, is turning an increased number of children into ‘zombies’.
The disease is said to make children withdrawn and confused, altering their personalities drastically.
According to CBS Atlanta, Nodding Disease affects children around ages 5 to 15 and has reportedly affected the lives of 3,000 children, with that number continuing to get larger.
The name of the disease comes from the symptom of children’s heads nodding during the first stages of seizures which occur, which is just one of many horrific symptoms these children face.
Children then experience brutal epileptic fits where they lose motor function skills and become shells of themselves.
Doctors are using drugs for epilepsy control with limited success, which allegedly slows the progression of symptoms.
There is still no known cause or cure for the Nodding Disease.
