(WIDK by Patrick Heywood) – A toddler was found high on drugs in the backseat of his mother’s car.
A two-year old boy was found high on heroin in the backseat of his mother’s car in Everett, Washington on Thursday.
It was apparent the boy was high from the heroin his mother had been smoking in the car, according to one deputy.
The boy’s mother, Camie Bena, and her boyfriend were arrested after their car was stopped on Thursday night.
Deputies found a heroin-loaded needle in Bena’s purse, along with other drug paraphernalia.
The boy was in the backseat of the car and was taken to a local hospital by medics because he appeared very lethargic.
The boy has been turned over to Child Protective services, making it the second time the boy has been placed with the agency after a previous incident when he was 6 months old, reports KOMO News.

fortunately, the boy was not harmed and was not under the influence of any drugs. I am friends with the mother’s aunt, and the family is letting Camie rot in jail this time. The boyfriend was freed on bail.
The grandmother was awarded custody by CPS last year, and the court allowed supervised visits, and eventually gave custody back to the unmarried parents. The grandmother and aunt had to go through extensive background and home checks before the court would allow the boy into their care- yet any horny drug addicts can make a baby without any kind of background check or license.
This time, the aunt is hoping Camie goes to prison and the boy is given a chance at a normal life without the drug addict parents in his life. I hope he can grow up to be a normal kid. He is already emotionally scarred- is very frightened around strangers, because CPS has taken him into custody so many times in his young life. Pray for this child. And hope that justice takes care of the parents.
if this child was with CPS before and she had a drug problem why give him back to her! hope they dont make the same mistake again by giving him back to her.
