(WIDK By Andrew Kepshire) - A queer proposal gets student body president ousted.
Reuben Lack, a senior at Alpharetta High School in Atlanta, GA has been removed as student body president after attempting to implement some homosexual friendly changes to his school’s prom.
According to Huffington Post, the 18-year-old senior who is captain of the school debate team sued the school for forcibly removing him as student council president.
Lack wanted to change the prom’s ‘king and queen’ to a prom court, so same-sex couples would have the same opportinity to be represented as their heterosexual counterparts, but the issue was never discussed in council meetings as faculty cut off the debate.
When trying to determine why he was removed from office, Lack was given no official reason.
