Tania Coleman, 21, of Erie, PA was convicted of first-degree murder after starving her 14-month-old child to death, then hiding her in a suitcase.
According to the Washington Post, the Erie mother will serve a life sentence after being convicted of the murder that took place in May 2011 after depriving her child of nourishment.
Coleman reportedly withheld food and drink from the little girl because she was the ‘runt,’ and she had a different father from Coleman’s other two daughters.
Firefighters from Erie found the remains of 14-month-old Alayja in a suitcase along the road as they responded to a fire in May of last year.

That is one ugly little baby. Granted she didnt have to kill it. She could have given it away to the zoo….Im sure they could have used the ugly thing for a side attraction.
She was a beautiful little girl, and even if she had been unattractive, she did not deserve to die whatsoever.

I don’t understand. Why didn’t she just give the child to the father? She needs to be in jail for life. She is not a kind person. She will hurt somebody else. We need to be protected from people like her, especially children.
