(WIDK By Hannah Tool) - Police intervened after a study session for an evolution midterm turned violent, and a student hit one of her peers in the face, threatening to kill him and the professor.

The video shows the student belligerently screaming at her classmates, smacking one of them in the face, after the professor failed to satisfactorily answer her inquires as to why evolution kills black people. 

The Huffington Post reports that Jonatha Carr, student at Florida Atlantic University, barraged Dr. Stephen Kajiura, professor of evolution, with insistent questions about the evolutionary processed killing off black people, and became increasingly more emotional.

When the situation elevated to the point that Carr was verbally and physically assaulting her classmates and professor, the police were called to subdue her.

After being removed from the classroom, officers placed Carr in the back of a cruiser, where she had to be subdued with a taser.

Carr is being psychologically evaluated at a nearby hospital.
