(WIDK By AnnaMarie Houlis) - The infamous “crapper scrapper” was finally caught last week for his dirty deeds—literally.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, toilet thief, Donald Allen Citron, 48, was arrested last week for stealing and selling $6,000 worth of toilet pipes and valves from more than 18 places around Denver, Colorado.
NBC Chicago said that Citron is facing 18 total charges of second-degree burglary, theft and criminal mischief for the scrap the makes him little money, but costs the establishments thousands.
One business’ employee watched Citron walk in the bathroom empty-handed, but leave with toilet parts in a bag; he followed Citron outside where he proceeded to record his license plate number.
According to the Washington Post, law-enforcement officials say that the toilet burglaries have been ongoing since January 5th.
