(WIDK By Bob Bachelder) - A tragic murder-suicide has left a brother and sister dead and their mother missing.
Abel Gutierrez, 27, from California, killed himself after murdering his 11-year-old sister, Lucero. Abel had reportedly been battling with post-tramautic stress disorder after returning home from the war in Iraq.
According to The Mercury News, police were called to the home two weeks prior to the murder but decided that Gutierrez was not dangerous.
The mother of the two deceased siblings is also missing. Police fear that she may have suffered the same fate as Lucero.
Neighbors say that throughout the past few months, Abel had been displaying extremely aggressive behavior towards family members and total strangers.
Abel had constantly told family members he wanted to kill himself.
“He said he killed a lot of people in Iraq, it was in his conscious and he didn’t want to live anymore,” said his uncle.
