Ken Dobson, an octogenarian, discovered the bizarre likeness while bucking up some firewood in his Wiltshire backyard; his wife and he have decided to preserve the portrait from its intended incineration.
ET, the extra-terrestrial, warmed the hearts of the world in Steven Spielberg’s 1982 science fiction film of the same name; only a lucky discovery saved its likeness from warming the Dobson’s home, says The Sun.
This curiosity will maintain a permanent place in the Dobson household, and Ken Dobson hopes to take a few rounds from the trunk to distribute to his sons.
Whether this is a meaningless coincidence or hideous harbinger of visitations to come remains to be seen–but it’s never a bad idea to stock up on canned food and ammunition.
