(WIDK By Bob Bachelder) - A generous gesture made by Peyton Manning has left one waiter without a job.

Manning left an additional $200 on a bill that already included an 18% gratuity at The Angus House in Raleigh, North Carolina. The result was a 50% tip for the waiter, who has only been identified as ‘Jon’.
According to The Daily Mail, the waiter made the mistake of taking a picture of the bill and then posting the final receipt on Facebook.
The owner of the restaurant, Van Eure, said the restaurant has a strict policy that their private dining experiences remain private.
The server was fired immediately for violating restaraunt protocol.
It’s also probably not a good idea to post the last 4 digits of Peyton Manning’s Master card online.

As a former waiter, I can understand “Jon’s” elation at receiving such a great tip, but I believe he went too far when he posted it online. I mean, it’s one thing to post that he served Peyton and that he gave an additional 20%(+) tip on a huge bill that already included an 18% gratuity, but there IS a certain modicum of propriety. I know that there are lousy tippers out there, even websites about them: http://www.servernightmares.com/stiffed-sagas/ and http://www.stainedapron.com/celebs.htm that servers tell of their best and worst tippers (and customers overall) You can imagine my surprise when my wife’s name came up as being one of the worst customers. It turned out she was the ex-wife of a cousin that had the same name.
It’s kind of an invasion of Peyton Manning’s privacy for one thing, and for another, any hacker worth his motherboard could figure out how to use the info printed on the check to his/her advantage. Also, that receipt is the property of the restaurant. Not a good idea, Jon. Shoulda just ran home and told your mother without any technological imaging.
why was this guy fired he apparently was a good waiter if Manning himself doesnt say anything against this there is nothing wrong here
