(WIDK by Peter Storey)A five-year old had an unforgettable birthday party at a Texas Chuck-E Cheese.

Forgotten by her parents–whose ten children range between the ages of two and fifteen, according to ABC News–the five-year old slept, lonely, in the custody of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services responsible for Brazoria County.

Claiming the mistake begotten of neglect rather than malice, the mother insists she failed to recognize that her brood numbered only nine until the following morning as the children prepared for school, as AZfamily.com has it.

Suspicious of the accident, the TDFPS is investigating the mother’s motive.

Fortunately, no serious harm has befallen the child and she may be returned to the custody of her family before much time elapses.
